I have a lot of fun taking portraits with babies and kids; there is something magical about capturing the smile and innocence of a young budding girl or boy who is discovering the world. I have the experience of raising my own children (and having multiple nieces and nephews) to guide me in my approach to dealing with the animated personalities of young ones. :)

Cake-smash or any type of smash sessions are wonderful when you are celebrating your baby's first birthday. As well, I enjoy whimsical photo ideas with children! For example, after I had found a perfect dandelion field, I fitted my three-year-old daughter with a handmade crown and gleaming dress, and created a picture of her trying to capture a butterfly. That is a special portrait and memory for us. I welcome your ideas too!
