Standing Birth at Lucina Center {Edmonton Birth Photographer}

Long overdue for me to share about this beautiful birth! Baby Boston was born at Lucina Center back in June, and I finally received the green lights to post some photos on the blog. Let me just tell you it was one amazing birth! I have never seen a labouring woman this strong before: she hopped out of the tub and give birth standing up!  Amazing, I tell you. The event was full of love and emotion, and it made me cry. Thanks to Mary from Meadowlark Midwifery to be so great at what she does. She helped little Boston to come to this side of Earth with ease, guiding him into his Daddy’s arms.

Enjoy the photos.

  • Nancy - These are beautiful, beautiful images! I love that mama’s strength – the adrenaline during a natural childbirth is palpable! I just had my first, four months ago, squatting in the tub – caught her myself after a 48-hour-long labor. I adore seeing another mama be so attentive afterward too… I love that she’s right nearby during the weighing. Society doesn’t put enough of an emphasis on that special post partum togetherness like we need to! Just magic. Congratulations to the fam. <3ReplyCancel
